JSYK, this was a very difficult picture to take.
Hi. I'm Dar. I love astronauts, airplanes and bucket lists. I read a lot.

I’m not really crazy over Season 7, so far. I haven’t seen the finale (I’m waiting for it right now) but Clara has been VERY disappointing. Her character had so much potential and I loved Dalek Clara and her souffle, Victorian Clara, her “invitation” and her sass (!!), and in some way, even Modern Clara too, but she failed to sustain her likability past the introductory episodes. All the rest of Season 7 with her in it was just meh.
She’s just a girl who talks really fast and a point to which The Doctor could occasionally scream at, “WHAT ARE YOU?”
It’s all about her impossibility, and not her. It’s so disappointing how it all feels like the Doctor went back for Modern Clara because he couldn’t solve her and not because he liked her.
Even her mystery lacked subtlety. We couldn’t get past one episode without the Doctor hammering into our brains how HE COULDN’T SOLVE CLARA, HOW SHE’S SO IMPOSSIBLE, WHY WHY. I’m so sick of it.*
* I did watch episodes 8-12 straight so I might be on the edge because I hate having ideas hammered into me when I GET IT YOU CAN’T SOLVE HER STOP TALKING ABOUT IT SO MUCH GAWD. (Edit: They could really take some tips from the Bad Wolf treatment. That’s a story arc I really enjoyed.)
Oh, I also hate the little romantic notions between Eleven and Clara that they so fancy inserting once in a while. Eleven is married!
I hope I change my mind after watching the finale. Also, once a Whovian, always a Whovian. *fist bump*
